I was in the Aripeka area one afternoon when I discovered the Sandhills Preserve. I climbed to the top of the sandhill that's about 200-300 feet from the main entrance. Without really knowing what was up there I ventured to the top with anticipation.

I took a look around and thought, this looks like a really interesting place to take a hike. And it was. When you step into Aripeka Sandhills Preserve, you're greeted with rolling sand dunes, lush vegetation, and diverse wildlife. It's like stepping into a serene painting that comes to life before your eyes.

Whether you're an avid hiker looking to trek through the sandy paths or a nature enthusiast eager to spot some of Florida's native species, this preserve has something for everyone.
